Ever heard of Echo Panel? It’s a highly sustainable and soundproof material that Cre8 Sound + Design specialise in. They provide everything from unique furniture to the installation of wall panelling systems specifically designed for acoustics. With this site project, we designed the mod homepage to reflect their ergonomic position in the market, while in the backend we customised their shopping cart which required some special options. Have a little hover over their recent work to see brief specs … spesh.
Switch is a small organic wine producer. They were after something a little different to stand out from the crowd (just like their wine). They didn’t need a lot of excessive content on the site, so we went for a more original horizontal layout and threw some css3 animation in the mix.
We created a flexible shopping cart site for Joy Beans, a local Gold Coast company with great aspirations to create better working and environmental conditions in the coffee growing regions across the world.
We are loving this site – looks so good! Can’t wait to show it off to the real world ha ha!

Valenzo Jeweller produces some of the most exquisite pieces of jewellery in the country. They were after a smooth, responsive site in gallery format. We took particular care in the transitions as you navigate through the site – images flow calmly along while you browse the high-end product.
Jim is a Gold Coast based interior architect and designer, he wanted a super-clean online portfolio that he could easily update himself. The responsive site that we built for him works on all screen sizes including mobile – simply enlarge and shrink the pages to see how the responsive system adapts to the width of the browser.
A talented filmer and video editor, Josh wanted a dynamic online portfolio with a point of difference. We went with a responsive, single-page, vertical-scroll option that also incorporates an engaging background image effect. This is the postmodern resume of the future.
Nextco provides Point of Sale programs and inventory systems to hotels, clubs, restaurants and resorts. The information rich site needed to outline many features, and so was broken down into various categories, components and window layouts. This shows an example of a ‘semi-responsive’ site as it resizes for large monitors and small tablets, but doesn’t go as far as to reconfigure for handheld smart phones.
Megan from Grace Loves Lace approached us with the challenge of creating a brand package along with a powerful shopping-cart site for her new company, all within a tight budget.
Utilising the integrated micro blog and frequent social networking updates has helped really kickstart her company. So far hits and subsequent sales have been booming with the site featured on various fashion blogs. A full site upgrade will be coming soon. Stay tuned!
(PS: the site features some beautiful photography from Ali Mitton)

Look Love Want is an online gallery of contemporary, original, limited edition prints. It’s a place where covetable art can be collected at a click. The shopping-cart site is powered by WordPress, providing a seamless and easy to use CMS.
We worked with the team at Design Culture to come up with an intuitive layout that will also be flexible enough to handle the ever growing collection.
I really appreciate all your work with this, it’s looking better than I could wish for.
Started by a couple local girls, this site has quickly taken off thanks to some creative social marketing! We have streamlined the purchase process with user accounts, removing drop down menu’s and displaying out of stock products clearly.
Now this was a fun, alternative project that resulted in something special: a horizontal, scroll-along, single-page site that features a drag and drop shopping cart which also works on mobile devices. The client was super happy with the result!
But tell you what – the site looks and feels absolutely fantastic…
Urban collective offer a revolutionary alternative to the traditional methods of building homes. They wanted to reflect this with a fresh, modern site that utilises social networking and blogging in a bold format. The site was designed so they can easily add the new designs and galleries as they are developed and released. Safe as houses!
The Australian distributer of Nokchawon Tea came to Thrive looking for a fresh new site.
The main goal of the new design was clear navigation around the products and categories.
We worked with Brad Anderson on this shopping cart driven site. The client wanted a clean, professional looking site that was easy to read, navigate and purchase their great product! Take a look and see how it turned out.
We couldn’t ask for a better design, it turned out exactly as asked and we get many compliments for its design.
Melissa wanted a simple yet unique site to kick start her business and showcase her work. Staying well clear of the standard page based site we still managed to show off her imaginative interiors. The site resizes nicely for small screens and mobile devices. Logo and layout by Doug Wells.
Australian label VELLA CAMPBELL is a showcase of complimentary mens and ladies fashion with a sense of mystery and just a dash of drama.
Working with Shaun’s design ideas we put together a stylish site that is easy to navigate and manage.
Thanks again for all your work on this, we’re super happy with it… we’d be happy to recommend you :)
Super creative and hyper active, Daniel, a Photographer based in the US, needed a flexible online presence… and he needed it fast! We set the site up so Daniel can easily add new events and blog posts to the homepage. The gallery system allows for easy uploading, sorting and automatic resizing. Take a ganda!

Getting leads from the site already! Thanks for doing the site, looks great.
We work with clients from all around the world so it was refreshing to do a site for a local Gold Coast company just down the road in Burleigh. All About Cabinets recently revamped their image and needed a fresh, flexible new site to go with it.
A single page site for an Indian based company. Reversing the outsourcing trend! View in Safari or Chrome to get the best of the css3 animation.
A colourful illustrated site for London’s premier dry cleaning service. Their unique pink vans have become a icon of central London and we wanted to represent this in their website, which serves as a brochure and booking system. It also builds on the fun and friendly brand they have built up.
A great little blog for retailers. The site allows members access to suppliers contact details absolutely free.
This was a previous portfolio site for us. The site was fun to make and was linked on various design sites. We have left it up as a showpiece!
