Gold Coast Primary Health Network

Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) is an independent, not-for-profit company by the Australian Government. Established to identify the health needs of local communities and fund and improve primary health services. The site offers split sites with different menus, pages and functionality for the two user groups. Thrive also made it easy for the client to manage their extensive archive of sensitive content in the backend with clear user pathways on the frontend. The site now plays an instrumental role for the local Gold Coast community to improve health services for residents.

Overview

Thrive Digital and Symplicit, a leading ux company worked in partnership to tender for the redesign and rebuild the GCPHN website, catering to two primary user groups: Health Professionals (GPs and nurses) and Community Members (general public and patients).

Through a comprehensive consultation process, we collaborated with Symplicit to integrate their expertise into our design strategy. This partnership allowed us to enhance the user experience by combining our technical and design insights with Symplicit’s specialised knowledge in user experience. By interpreting data and recommendations from this joint effort, we crafted a website that not only meets but exceeds our clients’ needs, resulting in a highly effective and user-friendly digital solution.

"Our team was really pleased with the work that Thrive undertook in our recent website review and redevelopment project. Design features and architectural structure of the new website were informed through an extensive consultation process. Thrive worked in partnership with our team to interpret the data and recommendations received during consultation, ensuring all work undertaken also met our organisations needs with a high degree of expertise. ~ "

The Result

The GCPHN website aids users by offering comprehensive information, tools, and resources for accessing local health services, staying informed about community health initiatives, and promoting overall well-being.

The website, which has proven to be immensely successful, was rigorously tested during the COVID-19 pandemic. It offers distinct sites with tailored menus, pages, and functionalities for each user group, ensuring clear user pathways. Thrive also facilitated the client’s management of a large archive of sensitive content with an intuitive backend system. The site incorporates advanced, automated functions hidden from public view and meets the highest levels of security and accessibility protocols required by the Australian Government Department.
