Childcare
Website Design

Thrive designs websites for childcare centres, early learning services, kindergartens and family day care across Australia. Our Gold Coast team builds childcare websites that help parents find you, understand your philosophy and fees, book a tour and join the waitlist, with the National Quality Framework information families look for and a warmth that stock photos never manage.

Family-friendly childcare websites

Parents start their search for care online, usually at night, usually on a phone. We design and build childcare websites that build trust in the first few seconds, reflect your centre’s personality and make it easy for a family to book a tour or join the waitlist.

What makes a great childcare website?

A parent choosing care is weighing trust, convenience and cost at the same time. The best childcare websites answer all three before the parent has to ask.

  • Real photos of your rooms, your educators and your outdoor spaces, with consent handled properly, rather than stock images of other people’s children.
  • Your National Quality Standard rating, approved provider details and educator qualifications shown plainly, because parents check.
  • A tour booking and waitlist enquiry path that works on a phone and lands with your centre director straight away.
  • Fees, session types, the Child Care Subsidy and what is included, explained in plain language.
  • A page per room or age group, your educational philosophy and daily routine, so parents can picture their child there.
  • Location, hours, parking and drop-off details for every centre if you run more than one.
  • Accessibility and plain language, because families come from every background.

What a childcare website needs

Trust in the first ten seconds

A parent is handing over their child. Real photography of your actual rooms and educators, a clear statement of your philosophy and your NQS rating on the homepage do more than any slogan.

A page per centre, a page per room

Families search for “childcare” plus a suburb and an age, so each centre has its own page with address, hours and rooms, and each room or program has a page of its own. The site can then rank for every centre and every age group you cater for.

Compliance made visible

Approved provider details, your National Quality Standard rating, educator qualifications, your policies and your Child Safe commitment, all easy to find. The regulator expects it and parents look for it.

Tours and waitlists without friction

A tour booking form that asks only what you need, a waitlist enquiry that captures the child’s age and preferred start date, and instant notification to the centre director. Connected to your enrolment software where it helps.

Fees and subsidy, explained

Session fees, what is included, and a plain-language explanation of the Child Care Subsidy with a link to the government estimator. Parents who cannot find fees assume the worst and move on.

Easy for your team to update

Educators change, rooms change, menus change. The site is built so your centre director can update staff, news and vacancies without calling a developer.

Kool Beanz website design, Childcare

Single centres, multi-site groups and family day care

A single centre needs a warm, simple site: rooms, educators, fees, philosophy, a tour button. A group with several centres needs a structure that sends each family to the right centre page with its own vacancies, staff and hours, and a content system head office can manage across all of them.

Family day care schemes and kindergartens need something different again: educator profiles, program information and clear enrolment steps. We have built all of these, and the first thing we do on any childcare project is work out how parents in your area search and what they need to see before they book a tour.

Childcare websites across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Australia

Thrive is based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and has designed websites for early learning services across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, and interstate. Recent early years work includes Kool Beanz Academy, a family-owned provider with centres across Queensland and New South Wales; Apple Berries; Physiotots; Great Start Early Learning Centre; The Sector, the early childhood education news publisher; and Tahnee and the Treehouse, a children’s dance school.

Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so a centre in Brisbane or Sydney gets the same process as one in Burleigh. We also design websites for the wider education and training sector and for aged care and disability providers.

Marketing for childcare centres

A website only works if families find it. The same team that builds childcare websites runs SEO for the suburb-and-age searches parents make, Google Ads to fill vacancies in specific rooms, Facebook and Instagram ads to reach local parents, and the digital marketing strategy that ties it together.

Got questions?

Childcare Website Design FAQs

How much does a childcare website cost?

It depends on the number of centres and rooms, whether you need waitlist or enrolment integrations, and how much of the content we write. Every project starts with a written scope and a fixed quote, so you know the price before we begin. A single centre and a group of eight are very different projects, and the quote reflects that.

How long does a childcare website take?

Most childcare websites take six to ten weeks from the first meeting to launch. Photography and room content are the usual reason projects run long, so we help you plan a photo day early and build in stages you can review as we go.

Can the website connect to our enrolment or parent software?

Yes. Tour and waitlist enquiries can feed your enrolment or CRM system, and we link to parent portals such as Xplor, Storypark or Kinderloop rather than rebuilding them. Where a platform has an embeddable enrolment form, we use it so families are not re-keyed.

What do we need to show for compliance?

Your approved provider name and service approval details, your current National Quality Standard rating, educator qualifications, your policies and complaints process, and your commitment to child safety. The regulator expects these to be available and parents look for them. We build those pages properly and make them easy to find.

Can we use photos of children at the centre?

Only with written consent from parents, and we recommend building the site around photos of rooms, play spaces, educators and the centre itself so it still feels warm if consent is limited. We help you plan a photo day that gets what the site needs.

How should we explain fees and the Child Care Subsidy?

Plainly. List your session fees and what is included, explain that the Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to the service and reduces the out-of-pocket amount, and link to the government’s estimator. Families who cannot find this assume the worst and book a tour elsewhere.

Do you build websites for groups with several centres?

Yes. Multi-site groups need a page per centre with its own address, hours, rooms and vacancies, a structure that sends each family to the right centre, and a content system head office can run across all of them. Kool Beanz Academy is an example.

Do you work with centres outside the Gold Coast?

Yes. We build childcare websites for services across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, regional Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so distance makes no difference to the result.

Do childcare websites need SEO?

Yes. Parents search for “childcare” or “kindy” plus a suburb, and often an age, and the centre that appears gets the tour booking. We structure the site with a page per centre and per room so it can rank for those searches, and our SEO team can keep building on that after launch.

Who looks after the website once it is live?

We do, if you want us to. Our hosting and support plans cover the server, security updates, daily backups and help with changes, and we train your centre director so updating staff, vacancies and news is something you can do yourselves.
