Dental
Website Design

Thrive designs custom websites for dental practices: family dentists, cosmetic and implant dentists, orthodontists and dental groups. Our Gold Coast team has built dental websites across Queensland and Australia, each one designed to rank for the treatments you offer, to turn an anxious first-time visitor into a booked appointment, and to stay inside the advertising rules the Dental Board and AHPRA apply to practitioners.

Professional dental websites that bring in patients

A professional website helps your dental practice show its expertise, its treatments and the way it looks after patients. Thrive Digital designs dental websites with clear navigation, plain-language treatment pages and online booking, built to earn the trust of someone choosing a new dentist.

Dental website

What makes a great dental website?

Most people choosing a dentist are either new to the area, unhappy with their last practice or putting off something they are nervous about. A good dental website answers their questions quickly, makes booking painless and reassures them before they ever walk in.

  • Online booking connected to the practice software you already run, with a phone number that is always one tap away.
  • A page for every treatment, from check-ups and children’s dentistry to whitening, implants, Invisalign and emergency care, each written in plain language.
  • Dentist and team profiles with real photos and a warm, human tone, because nervous patients choose a person before they choose a practice.
  • Fees, health fund and HICAPS details, payment plans and the Child Dental Benefits Schedule explained plainly, so price is not the reason someone does not book.
  • An emergency dental path: a page, a number and an after-hours message that a patient in pain can find in seconds.
  • Advertising that complies with the Dental Board and AHPRA guidelines: no clinical testimonials, no misleading before-and-afters, no promises about results.
  • New-patient information, parking, accessibility and what to expect at the first visit, written for people who are anxious about the dentist.

What a dental practice website needs

Nervous patients first

Dental anxiety is common, and it shapes how people read a website. Calm photography of your actual practice, short sentences, an honest page about what a first visit involves and a booking button that is never out of reach do more than any amount of polish.

A page per treatment

Patients search for the treatment, not the practice: teeth whitening, dental implants, Invisalign, wisdom teeth, emergency dentist, kids’ dentist. One page for each, named the way people search, so the site can rank for every service you offer.

Compliant with the Dental Board and AHPRA

Dental practitioners are regulated under the National Law, so your website is advertising. No testimonials about clinical care, before-and-after photos only with consent and honest context, and no claims about results you cannot stand behind. We build with the guidelines in mind.

Booking that connects to your software

Online booking embedded from Dental4Windows, Praktika, Exact, HotDoc, HealthEngine or whatever your practice runs, so an appointment made on the website appears in the diary without anyone re-keying it.

Fees and funds, out in the open

Health fund preferred provider status, HICAPS on the spot claiming, payment plans, bulk billing under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule and a straight answer on fees. Practices that hide this lose patients to the ones that do not.

Your practice, not a template

Real photos of your rooms, your dentists and your front desk. Patients can tell the difference between a stock photo of a smiling model and the people who will actually treat them.

Family, cosmetic, implant and specialist dental websites

A family practice needs a welcoming tone, a children’s page, clear fees and simple booking. A cosmetic dentist needs a site that looks as considered as the work, with treatment pages for veneers, whitening and aligners and a consultation path that feels premium rather than pushy. An implant or specialist practice needs a referrer section and a plain-English explanation of procedures that patients are often frightened of.

Dental groups and orthodontists need something different again: multiple locations, multiple dentists and a structure that sends each patient to the right practice. We have built all of these, and the first job on any dental project is working out which one you are.

Dental websites across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Australia

Thrive is based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and has designed dental websites across South East Queensland, including Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, as well as regional Queensland and interstate. Recent dental work includes Dr Kat, a cosmetic dentist; Bayside Family Dentist; DentiCare, a dental payment plan provider; UC Dental on the Gold Coast; White Sands Dental on the Sunshine Coast; The Practice in Brisbane’s West End; Dentist Direct in Hervey Bay; and Esteem Dental Care.

Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so a practice in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne gets the same process as one in Burleigh. We also design websites for the wider healthcare and medical sector, NDIS providers and healing and wellness businesses.

Marketing for dental practices

A website only works if patients find it. The same team that builds dental websites runs SEO for the treatment and suburb searches patients make, Google Ads for the ones you want more of, Facebook and Instagram ads for cosmetic and aligner awareness, and the digital marketing strategy that ties it together, all within the advertising guidelines for dental practitioners.

Got questions?

Dental Website Design FAQs

How much does a dental website cost?

It depends on the number of treatments and dentists, whether you need booking and practice software integrations, and how much of the content we write. Every project starts with a written scope and a fixed quote, so you know the price before we begin. A single-dentist family practice and a multi-site group with cosmetic and implant services are very different projects, and the quote reflects that.

How long does a dental website take?

Most dental practice websites take six to ten weeks from the first meeting to launch. Treatment content and team profiles are the usual reason projects run long, so we write with you rather than waiting, and we build in stages you can review as we go.

Can the website connect to our practice management software?

Yes. We embed or link online booking from Dental4Windows, Praktika, Exact, Oasis, HotDoc, HealthEngine and most other platforms, so an appointment made on the website lands in your diary. Where a platform has no embed, we build the booking button to go straight to it without a detour.

Can we show patient testimonials and before-and-after photos?

Testimonials about clinical care are not permitted in advertising by a registered dental practitioner under the National Law, and AHPRA treats your website as advertising. Before-and-after photos can be used with the patient’s consent, provided they are genuine, not misleading and not presented as a guaranteed result. We structure the site so the compliant version is the easy version.

Do you build websites for cosmetic dentists?

Yes. Cosmetic dentistry websites need a design that matches the quality of the work, treatment pages for veneers, whitening, bonding and clear aligners, a gallery handled within the advertising guidelines, and a consultation path that feels premium. Dr Kat is a recent example.

Do you build websites for orthodontists and dental groups?

Yes. Multi-location practices need a page per location with its own address, hours and dentists, a structure that sends each visitor to the right practice, and a content system your practice manager can run across all sites. Orthodontic sites add treatment pages for braces and aligners written for parents and teenagers as well as adults.

How should fees and health funds be shown?

Plainly. List the health funds you are a preferred provider for, say that you have HICAPS, explain any payment plans and whether you bulk bill eligible children under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, and give an honest guide to fees where you can. Patients who cannot find this information assume the worst and book elsewhere.

Do you work with dental practices outside the Gold Coast?

Yes. We have built dental websites across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay and regional Queensland, and for practices interstate. Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so distance makes no difference to the result.

Do dental websites need SEO?

Yes, more than most. Patients search for a treatment and a suburb, such as “emergency dentist Robina” or “Invisalign Brisbane”, and the practice that appears is the one that gets the booking. We structure the site with a page per treatment so it can rank for those searches, and our SEO team can keep building on that after launch.

Will the website look like every other dental website?

No. Every site is designed from scratch around your practice, your dentists and your patients, using your own photography wherever possible. A real reception and real staff build more trust than any stock photo of perfect teeth.

Who looks after the website once it is live?

We do, if you want us to. Our hosting and support plans cover the server, security updates, daily backups and help with changes, and we train your practice manager so updating dentists, fees and treatments is something you can do yourselves.
