Sport & Fitness
Website Design

Thrive designs websites for gyms, studios, personal trainers, sporting clubs, sports events and fitness brands across Australia. Our Gold Coast team builds sport and fitness websites that sell memberships, classes and tickets: timetables and bookings from the studio software you already run, club registrations, event ticketing, merchandise stores, and a design with the energy of the thing itself.

High-performing sport and fitness websites

A gym, studio, club or event lives on sign-ups. Thrive Digital designs sport and fitness websites that look like the brand feels, make joining or booking a two-tap job and connect to the membership, booking and ticketing systems you already use.

What makes a great sport and fitness website?

The visitor is motivated right now, on a phone, and will join, book or buy if the site lets them. Everything below is about turning that moment into a member.

  • Memberships, class packs and intro offers that sell online through the system you already use, such as Mindbody, Glofox, Clubworx or Momence.
  • A live timetable and class booking, embedded so a visitor can book without leaving the site.
  • Trainer, coach and team profiles with real photos, because people join a person before a gym.
  • For clubs, registrations, fixtures, results and volunteer sign-ups, connected to your governing body’s platform where required.
  • For events, the program, ticketing and sponsor sections, built to handle an on-sale spike.
  • Real photography and video of your space, your classes and your members, not stock athletes.
  • Merchandise and online sales on WooCommerce or Shopify where they earn their keep.

What a gym, club or sports brand website needs

Energy that matches the brand

Fitness is sold on feeling. Strong photography and video of your actual space and members, bold typography and a design with pace give the visitor a sense of the place before they read a word.

Join in two taps

Memberships, intro offers, class packs and trials sold through your studio software, embedded so the sign-up completes on the site and the member appears in your system without anyone re-keying it.

A timetable that is always right

Class schedules pulled live from your booking platform, with booking from the timetable itself. Nobody maintains two timetables, and nobody turns up to a cancelled class.

A page per offer

Reformer Pilates, boxing, personal training, kids’ programs, surf lessons: one page for each, named the way people search, so the site can rank for every offer and send the visitor to the right one.

Clubs and events handled properly

Registrations through the governing body’s platform, fixtures and results, volunteer sign-ups and sponsors for clubs; program, ticketing, athletes and partners for events, built to survive an on-sale morning.

Easy to keep current

Timetables, trainers, offers and events change weekly. We build the site so your front desk can update it from a phone, and we train them to do it.

Gyms, studios, trainers, clubs, events and sports brands

A boutique studio needs a site that sells the vibe and the intro offer, with timetable and booking from its studio software. A gym needs memberships, trainers, programs and a join path. A personal trainer or coach needs a personal brand, packages and a booking link. A community sports club needs registrations, fixtures, news and sponsors on a small budget.

A sports event or championship needs a program, ticketing, athletes and partners at scale. A fitness product needs an online store. We have built all of these, and the first thing we do on any sport project is work out what the visitor is here to join or buy and how many taps it takes.

Sport and fitness websites across the Gold Coast and Australia

Thrive is based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and has designed websites for sport and fitness businesses locally, in Brisbane and internationally. Work includes the FIM World Supercross Championship, an international championship with ticketing and merchandise; Sway Pilates; Essentials Studio, a reformer, barre and boxing studio; Currumbin Alley Surf School; Gold Coast Little Athletics; Active & Healthy Alliance; Tacfit Solutions; Evolt 360, a body composition scanner; and Curtis McGrath, Paralympic champion.

Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so a gym in Melbourne gets the same process as one in Burleigh. We also have dedicated pages for healing and wellness businesses, tourism and adventure operators and entertainment and events.

Marketing for gyms, clubs and sports brands

A website only works if people find it. The same team that builds fitness websites runs Facebook and Instagram ads for intro offers and events, SEO for the class-and-suburb searches people make, Google Ads for memberships and registrations, and the digital marketing strategy that ties it together.

Got questions?

Sport & Fitness Website Design FAQs

How much does a gym or studio website cost?

It depends on the number of offers and locations, the booking and membership integrations, whether you need a store, and how much of the content we write. Every project starts with a written scope and a fixed quote, so you know the price before we begin. A single studio and a multi-site gym chain are very different projects.

How long does it take?

Most sport and fitness websites take four to eight weeks from the first meeting to launch. Photography and video are the usual hold-ups, so we help you plan a shoot early and build in stages you can review as we go.

Which studio and gym software can you integrate?

Mindbody, Glofox, Clubworx, Momence, Wodify, Zen Planner, TeamUp and most others. We embed timetables, class booking and membership sign-up so the member appears in your system without re-keying, and we design around the platform’s limits so it still looks like your brand.

Can the website handle club registrations?

Yes. Most sporting codes require registration through the governing body’s platform, so we link or embed that and build the rest around it: fixtures, results, news, volunteers and sponsors. Gold Coast Little Athletics is an example.

Can we sell tickets and merchandise?

Yes. Event ticketing through platforms such as Humanitix, Oztix or Ticketek, and merchandise on WooCommerce or Shopify. The FIM World Supercross Championship site handles both at international scale.

Do you build websites for personal trainers and coaches?

Yes. A trainer’s site is a personal brand: who you are, who you help, packages, results with permission, and a booking or enquiry link. We keep it lean so it is easy to run alongside a full client load.

Do you work with sport and fitness businesses outside the Gold Coast?

Yes. We build fitness websites for gyms, studios, clubs and events across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and internationally. Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so distance makes no difference to the result.

Do fitness websites need SEO?

Yes. People search for a class or a gym and a suburb, such as “reformer Pilates Burleigh” or “boxing gym Gold Coast”, and the studio that appears gets the trial. We structure the site with a page per offer so it can rank for those searches, and our SEO team can keep building on that after launch.

Will the website look like every other gym site?

No. Every site is designed from scratch around your brand, your space and your members, using your own photography and video wherever possible. Real members in your real studio are what separates you from the franchise down the road.

Who looks after the website once it is live?

We do, if you want us to. Our hosting and support plans cover the server, security updates, daily backups and help with changes, and we train your front desk so updating trainers, offers and events is something you can do yourselves.
