Tradie
Website Design

Thrive designs websites for tradies and trade businesses: builders, electricians, plumbers, concreters, roofers, flooring, bathroom renovators, pool fencing, excavation and hire. Our Gold Coast team builds trade websites that rank for the service-and-suburb searches customers make, turn a phone-screen visitor into a quote request in a couple of taps, and show your licence, your work and your reviews so the job goes to you instead of the next listing.

Trade websites that win the job before the phone rings

Thrive Digital has a long track record of building tradie websites that stand out from the competition. From concreting to roof restoration, flooring to bathroom renovations, we design trade websites that show your work, state your service area and make getting a quote the easiest thing on the page.

What makes a trade website perform better than the others?

Most people looking for a tradie are on a phone, often with a problem in front of them, and they will call the first business that looks legitimate and local. A good trade website makes that decision easy in the first few seconds.

  • A page for every service you offer, named the way customers search, so you rank for the job and not just your business name.
  • Your service area spelled out, suburb by suburb, because almost every trade search includes a location.
  • A quote form with photo upload and a click-to-call number on every screen, so a customer with a problem can reach you in two taps.
  • Your licence numbers, insurance and qualifications shown plainly, which builds trust and keeps you on the right side of licensing rules.
  • Real photos of real jobs, before-and-after galleries and recent projects, rather than stock images of a man in a hard hat.
  • Google reviews pulled onto the site and a Google Business Profile that matches it, because reviews are what customers compare you on.
  • A site that loads fast on a phone on a job site with two bars of reception.

What a tradie website needs

Built for the phone

Most of your visitors will never see the site on a desktop. The number is tappable on every screen, the quote form takes a photo straight from the camera, the pages are short and the whole thing loads in a couple of seconds on mobile data.

A page per service, a page per area

Customers search for “roof restoration Robina” or “emergency electrician Southport”, not for you. One page per service and clear suburb coverage give the site a chance to rank for every job you want, and send the customer to the right page first time.

Licensed and insured, up front

In Queensland a QBCC licence number has to appear on advertising for building work, and electrical and plumbing contractors have their own. We put licence numbers, insurance and qualifications where customers and regulators can see them.

Quotes that arrive ready to price

The quote form asks what the job is, where it is and for a photo or two, then lands in your inbox or your job management system, such as ServiceM8, Tradify or simPRO, so you can price it from the ute.

Proof on every page

Real jobs, real photos, before-and-afters and the Google reviews you have already earned, shown on the pages where customers are deciding. Stock photography is the fastest way to look like every other listing.

Easy to keep current

A site you can update from your phone: add a finished job, change a price, mark a suburb as covered. If it is hard to update it goes stale, and a stale site costs you work.

Builders, electricians, plumbers, concreters, roofers and more

A sole-trader electrician needs a fast, simple site: services, suburbs, licence, number, reviews, done. A bathroom renovator or flooring contractor needs a site that sells the finish, with galleries that look as good as the work and a quote path for a bigger decision. A hire or excavation business needs a fleet or equipment list that customers can browse and book from.

Larger trade businesses with teams on the road need something different again: service pages for every division, a careers section, and a quote form that routes to the right person. We have built all of these, and the first thing we do on any trade project is work out which one you are and where the jobs come from.

Trade websites across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Australia

Thrive is based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and has designed websites for trade businesses across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, and interstate. Recent trade work includes Status Flow Bathrooms; Tactical Flooring, a commercial flooring contractor; Kemp Concreting; In Colour Roof Restoration; Poolinspec, pool safety inspectors; RL Hire, machinery hire; Apex Facades, rope access and rigging; Fresh Energy Solar; and NDF Group, electrical and renewable energy.

Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so a tradie in Brisbane or Sydney gets the same process as one in Burleigh. We also have dedicated pages for building and construction, civil and industrial and energy and solar businesses.

Marketing for trade businesses

A website only works if the right people find it. The same team that builds trade websites runs SEO for the service-and-suburb searches customers make, Google Ads for the jobs you want more of, Facebook and Instagram ads to reach homeowners who have not started looking yet, and the digital marketing strategy that ties it together.

Tradie Website Design FAQs

How much does a tradie website cost?

It depends on the number of services and suburbs, whether you need galleries, a fleet list or integrations with your job management software, and how much of the content we write. Every project starts with a written scope and a fixed quote, so you know the price before we begin. A sole trader with five services and a bathroom renovation business with a big gallery are different projects, and the quote reflects that.

How long does a trade website take?

Most tradie websites take four to eight weeks from the first meeting to launch, quicker than most industries because the sites are usually leaner. Photos are the usual hold-up, so we help you get them sorted early, and we build in stages you can review as we go.

What kind of trades do you build websites for?

Builders, electricians, plumbers, concreters, roofers and roof restorers, painters, flooring and tiling contractors, bathroom and kitchen renovators, landscapers, fencing and pool safety, excavation and machinery hire, solar and electrical contractors, and specialist trades such as rope access and rigging. If customers find you by searching for a service and a suburb, we have probably built a site for someone like you.

Can customers request quotes through the website?

Yes, and that is the whole point. The quote form asks what the job is, where it is and for a photo or two from the phone camera, then lands in your inbox or your job management software. We connect forms to ServiceM8, Tradify, simPRO, Fergus and most other systems so the enquiry turns into a job without re-keying.

Do I need to show my licence number on the website?

In Queensland, yes for building work: the QBCC requires licensed contractors to show their licence number on all advertising, and a website counts. Electrical contractors and plumbers have their own licensing requirements, and other states have similar rules. We put licence numbers, insurance and qualifications on the site where customers and regulators can see them.

Can the website show our Google reviews?

Yes. We pull your Google reviews onto the site so customers see the rating and recent reviews without leaving the page, and we make sure your Google Business Profile matches the website, since the profile is often what customers see first.

Can I update the website myself from my phone?

Yes. Every site is built on WordPress and we train you so adding a finished job, changing a price or updating your suburbs is something you can do from the ute. If you would rather we did it, our support plans cover that too.

Do you work with tradies outside the Gold Coast?

Yes. We build trade websites for businesses across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, regional Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so distance makes no difference to the result.

Do tradie websites need SEO?

Yes, more than most. Nearly every trade search is a service plus a suburb, such as “concreter Gold Coast” or “plumber Burleigh Heads”, and the business that appears is the one that gets the call. We structure the site with a page per service and clear suburb coverage so it can rank for those searches, and our SEO team can keep building on that after launch.

Will my website look like every other tradie website?

No. Every site is designed from scratch around your trade, your work and your customers, using photos of your actual jobs wherever possible. A real finished bathroom or a real crew on site builds more trust than any stock photo of a man in a hard hat.

Who looks after the website once it is live?

We do, if you want us to. Our hosting and support plans cover the server, security updates, daily backups and help with changes, so you can get on with the jobs.
