Civil & Industrial
Website Design

Thrive designs websites for civil contractors, engineering firms, manufacturers, mining services and industrial suppliers across Australia. Our Gold Coast team builds civil and industrial websites that win tenders and contracts: capability statements, project case studies, plant and product catalogues, accreditations and a careers section that actually attracts operators and engineers.

Why does a civil or industrial business need a new website?

In civil and industrial work the website is checked by procurement teams, project managers and prospective employees before anyone picks up the phone. Thrive Digital builds sites that show your capability, your projects and your accreditations clearly enough to get you onto the tender list.

What makes a successful civil and industrial website?

The visitor is usually a procurement officer, an estimator, an engineer or a job seeker. Each wants specific evidence, fast, on a site that looks like a company they can trust with a contract.

  • A capability section: services, sectors, plant and equipment, and a downloadable capability statement that procurement can attach to a tender.
  • Project case studies with scope, client, location, value where you can say it, and photography from site.
  • Accreditations and systems shown plainly: ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, industry prequalifications, licences and safety record.
  • For manufacturers and suppliers, a product catalogue with specifications, data sheets and either online ordering or a quote request.
  • A careers section with current roles and an application path, because recruitment is half the reason industrial companies rebuild their websites.
  • Your service area, depots and key contacts, so a project manager in another state knows you can mobilise.
  • Built to be read on a phone on site and on a desktop in a procurement office.

What a civil or industrial website needs

Capability, documented

Procurement wants to know what you do, where, at what scale and with what plant. A structured capability section with a downloadable statement answers that in one place and gets attached to the tender.

Projects as evidence

Case studies with scope, client, location, duration and site photography. Organised by sector so a mining client sees mining work and a council sees civil infrastructure. This is the page that decides shortlists.

Accreditations where they can be found

ISO certifications, prequalifications, licences, safety statistics and memberships, on a page of their own and referenced from the capability section, so a compliance check takes seconds.

A catalogue that works

For manufacturers and suppliers, products with specifications, data sheets, drawings and either a quote request or online ordering. Built so your sales team can add products and update specs without a developer.

Careers that recruit

Operators, engineers, trades and site staff check the website before applying. Current roles, what it is like to work for you, and an application that works from a phone. For many clients this is the site’s highest-value page.

Serious, not dull

Industrial websites do not have to look like a 2009 brochure. Strong photography from site, a clean structure and a confident tone show a company that is modern and well run.

SEE GROUP website design, screen 4 of 9

Contractors, manufacturers, mining services and suppliers

A civil contractor needs capability, projects, plant and careers. A manufacturer needs a product catalogue with specifications and a quote or order path, often with a stockist or distributor section. A mining or resources services company needs sector pages, safety and accreditation evidence and a profile that reads well to a tier-one client. An industrial supplier selling online needs an ecommerce store built for trade customers: bulk pricing, account ordering, freight.

We have built all of these, and the first thing we do on any industrial project is work out who checks your website before a contract is awarded and what they need to find.

Engineering website design

Engineering firms are checked the same way. A civil engineering website design needs the disciplines you cover, the projects that prove it, the accreditations a client’s procurement team will look for, and a careers section that works, because graduates and experienced engineers research you before they apply. We build engineering website design around capability statements and project case studies, with a downloadable PDF version for the tender submission, so the website and the bid tell the same story.

Civil and industrial websites across Queensland and Australia

Thrive is based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and has designed websites for industrial businesses across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, and nationally. Work includes SEE Group, a civil construction and mining company working across Queensland and New South Wales; Pacific Hoseflex, a fluid transfer products manufacturer; Blackline Steel Frame & Truss; OM Civil; PowerClear, vegetation management; Lauxes Grates, a drainage manufacturer with online ordering; Cannindah Resources, an ASX-listed explorer; RL Hire; Pacific Reforestation; and Nome, mining and tunnelling supplies.

Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so a contractor in Perth gets the same process as one in Yatala. We also have dedicated pages for building and construction, trades and energy and solar businesses.

Digital marketing gold coast

Marketing for civil and industrial companies

A website only works if the right people find it. The same team that builds industrial websites runs SEO for the service-and-region searches procurement teams make, Google Ads for the contracts and products you want more of, and the digital marketing strategy that ties it together, including recruitment campaigns when you are hiring.

Got questions?

Civil & Industrial Website Design FAQs

How much does a civil or industrial website cost?

It depends on the number of services, sectors and projects, whether you need a product catalogue or online ordering, and how much of the content we write. Every project starts with a written scope and a fixed quote, so you know the price before we begin. A regional civil contractor and a national manufacturer with 500 products are very different projects.

How long does it take?

Most civil and industrial websites take six to ten weeks from the first meeting to launch. Capability content and project approvals are the usual reason projects run long, so we draft from your existing tender documents and build in stages you can review as we go.

Can you build a capability statement into the website?

Yes. We structure the capability section so it reads well online and generates a downloadable PDF capability statement that stays in sync with the site, so procurement teams can attach it to a tender and your team is not maintaining two versions.

Can the website include a product catalogue?

Yes. For manufacturers and suppliers we build catalogues with specifications, data sheets, drawings and images, with a quote request on each product or full online ordering on WooCommerce with trade pricing and account ordering. Lauxes Grates is an example.

Can the website handle recruitment?

Yes. A careers section with current roles, a description of what it is like to work with you and an application form that works from a phone, with applications routed to the right manager. For companies hiring at scale we connect it to your recruitment system.

Do you build websites for mining and resources companies?

Yes. SEE Group, Cannindah Resources and Nome are examples. Mining services sites lead with safety, accreditations and project evidence; listed companies add investor information and announcements.

Do you work with companies outside the Gold Coast?

Yes. Most of our industrial clients work across Queensland and interstate, and several are national. Projects run by video call and a shared project board, so distance makes no difference to the result.

Do industrial websites need SEO?

Yes. Procurement teams and engineers search for a service or product and a region, such as “civil contractor Gold Coast” or “steel frame manufacturer Queensland”. We structure the site with a page per service, sector and product so it can rank for those searches, and our SEO team can keep building on that after launch.

Will the website look like every other contractor’s site?

No. Every site is designed from scratch around your work and your sectors, using photography from your own sites and facilities wherever possible. Real plant on a real job builds more credibility than any stock photo of a hard hat.

Who looks after the website once it is live?

We do, if you want us to. Our hosting and support plans cover the server, security updates, daily backups and help with changes, and we train your team so adding a project, a product or a job ad is something you can do yourselves.
